Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services, Inc. (DMRS) to hold
6th Annual Fundraising Dinner
El Paso, TX — Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services, Inc. (DMRS) will hold its 6th Annual Fundraising Dinner on February 5, 2015 at 5:30 PM at the Camino Real Hotel located at 101 South El Paso Street.
DMRS is the largest provider of free and low-cost immigration legal services in West Texas and New Mexico. DMRS provides a wide-range of services including assistance with the filing of family-based petitions, petitions for survivors of domestic violence, petitions for children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected, representation before the Immigration Courts in removal (deportation) proceedings, assistance with applications for United States citizenship as well as Know-Your-Rights presentations for individuals detained at the local immigration detention centers.
This year Ambassador Johnny Young, Executive Director of Migration and Refugee Services of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, will be our keynote speaker. Prior to his retirement in 2004, Young served as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia, to the State of Bahrain, to the Republic of Togo, and to the Republic of Sierra Leone.
Individual tickets for the dinner can be purchased for $80. A table for ten can be purchased for $800. Local businesses and organizations can also sponsor the event.
